In an era where AI often creates generic UIs, I realized that the challenge lay not in capability but in context. Thus, I designed a UI Intent Schema that acts as a design contract, ensuring alignment between AI output and intended design goals. Here’s what I focused on:
- Comprehensive: Encapsulates all aspects of UI design.
- Deterministic: Guarantees that the same intent yields consistent output.
- Explicit: Removes ambiguity and maintains clarity.
- Enforceable: Implements mechanisms to prevent violations.
- Evolvable: Adapts over time with a clear audit trail.
My enforcement strategy employs a classification tool that evaluates requests against design intent, categorizing them as ALIGNED, PARTIALLY_ALIGNED, or CONFLICTING. This structured approach promotes intentionality, ensuring AI stays on track.
