Delhi To Use Drones, AI Tools To Audit Infrastructure Of Over 1,000 Govt Schools

The Delhi government is launching a digital audit of over 1,000 government schools using advanced technologies such as drones, 360-degree imaging, and AI analysis. This initiative aims to enhance school infrastructure by creating detailed digital profiles for 1,086 schools located in 799 premises. The profiles will encompass vital data on infrastructure, facilities, and physical condition, supporting data-driven decisions for upgrades and safety improvements. The selected agency will conduct real-time surveys with high-resolution cameras and drones, compiling data onto a web-based platform for analytical reporting, measuring school conditions against CBSE and NDMA benchmarks. Features of the platform include GPS tagging, data validation, role-based access, and customizable report generation. School assets such as classrooms, toilets, and sports equipment will be categorized by condition. Reports on structurally weak buildings will be reviewed by prestigious technical institutions (IITs, NITs), leading to tailored recommendations for repairs or demolitions as needed.
