Deloitte sees enterprises adopting AI without revenue lift • The Register

Despite significant interest in artificial intelligence (AI), recent research by Deloitte reveals that only 20% of organizations have seen revenue growth from their AI initiatives. While 74% of companies aim for increased revenue through AI, many have reported minimal financial results, echoing findings from a PwC survey showing only 12% of CEOs experienced lower costs alongside higher revenue. Instead, 66% of surveyed leaders noted improved productivity and efficiency. Access to AI tools is expanding; however, fewer than 60% of employees integrate them daily. A notable concern includes the automation of jobs, with 36% of companies forecasting over 10% of roles to be automated within a year. Companies need to enhance employee trust in AI, as only 13% of non-technical workers express enthusiasm. Furthermore, establishing effective governance and user-friendly AI tools is essential for successful adoption, transforming AI from simple automation into a strategic advantage.
