AI agents are revolutionizing digitization, with Deutsche Telekom partnering with the Berlin-based startup n8n, known for its workflow automation expertise. Valued at over 1 billion euros, n8n assists Deutsche Telekom in developing AI agents tailored for diverse applications in production, logistics, accounting, and sales, especially for medium-sized companies.
AI agents autonomously plan and execute tasks using artificial intelligence without human intervention. N8n’s open-source platform allows users to combine various applications and services, requiring minimal programming knowledge. It offers three models: out-of-the-box AI agents for basic tasks, a modular system for custom workflows, and fully tailored AI solutions.
First pilot projects are already underway in logistics, optimizing previously manual processes. As Gartner predicts, by 2028, AI agents will significantly influence online interactions and workplace decisions, highlighting the necessity for businesses to adopt AI technologies for enhanced productivity and problem-solving. Maximilian Ahrens from Deutsche Telekom emphasizes the importance of these innovations for future-proofing businesses.
