Sarvam, an innovative Indian AI startup, has launched its AI chat application, Indus, designed specifically for Indian users. Available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, Indus features advanced language capabilities, enabling conversations in all Indian languages and allowing language switching mid-dialogue. Similar to established chatbots like ChatGPT, Indus supports voice commands, performs web searches, and conducts in-depth research to answer user queries.
The app also has potential AI agents for task automation and enables document management, allowing users to upload images and PDFs for analysis. While the specific AI model behind Indus isn’t disclosed, it appears to leverage Sarvam’s recently introduced Large Language Models (LLMs), Sarvam-30B and Sarvam-105B.
