Dr. Jitendra Singh, India’s Science and Technology Minister, emphasized the importance of AI-driven translation tools in disseminating Hindi content. Speaking at the inaugural meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee in New Delhi, he highlighted that promoting Hindi across all Ministries and Departments is crucial for preserving India’s cultural identity. The Minister urged that all Ministry websites should be accessible in Hindi, ensuring citizens receive scientific information in their native language. He pointed out that India’s scientific and technological advancements should embody its linguistic diversity. Additionally, Dr. Singh noted that the University Grants Commission is developing Hindi-based tools and resources for employees, further enhancing Hindi’s role in scientific communication. This initiative underscores the growing recognition of Hindi as a vital component of India’s broader scientific discourse, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
