Anonymously interviewed staff expressed concerns that reliance on AI could diminish job demand for creatives, such as character artists and level designers, as they are encouraged to train AI with their own work. Since AI integration began last year, major issues have arisen, impacting game quality assurance. One affected employee noted that AI was responsible for tasks previously managed by human quality-assurance specialists, contributing to recent layoffs. As EA continues to urge its nearly 15,000 employees to adopt AI for diverse tasks, the future remains uncertain, especially following EA’s new partnership with Stability AI to further leverage AI technologies in game development.
