This information was uncovered in an update to the Google Home app by Android Authority, which showcased images and codenames for the upcoming products. The new Nest gadgets are set to feature notable upgrades, such as 2K video resolution for clearer imagery and a “Zoom and Crop” function that allows digital zoom up to 6x for enhanced detail.
Moreover, these devices will integrate Google’s Gemini AI model, set to replace the classic Assistant in October, potentially enhancing home security with smarter alerts and contextual understanding. The Nest Cams are anticipated to be available in new colors: Snow, Hazel, and Berry, while the Doorbell may come in Snow, Hazel, and Linen. Additionally, Google is rebranding its Nest Aware subscription service to “Google Home Premium,” possibly with a new advanced plan.
