Elon Musk Claims Former OpenAI Employee Suchir Balaji Was Murdered

Elon Musk, founder of xAI, controversially alleged that former OpenAI employee Suchir Balaji’s death was murder, not suicide, following comments made by Sam Altman during an interview with Tucker Carlson. Carlson echoed this claim, suggesting that Balaji’s mother implicated Altman in her son’s death. Balaji, who played a key role in developing ChatGPT, resigned from OpenAI in August 2023 due to concerns over alleged copyright violations in the company’s AI training practices. Musk, who left OpenAI in 2018, criticized Altman’s leadership while promoting his own AI competitor, Grok. The rivalry escalates as Musk condemns Apple for perceived anti-competitive behavior in the AI market, asserting that it hinders other companies from succeeding. Altman, in turn, rebuffed Musk’s previous offer to purchase OpenAI, humorously proposing a bid for Twitter instead. Currently, ChatGPT leads the App Store, with Grok trailing behind, highlighting the competitive AI landscape.
