Tafadzwa Chikwereti from eAgro demonstrated how AI analyzes crop health via mobile platforms, while Femi Adekoya’s drone technology promotes precision agriculture. Lavender Birike’s Klima360 forecasts climate risk using AI to aid farmers and insurers. The event emphasized the critical need for digital inclusion, stressing that rural connectivity and digital literacy are essential for improving agricultural productivity. The session concluded by highlighting the importance of partnerships among governments, academia, and private sectors to accelerate AI adoption in agriculture. This initiative is part of FAO’s ongoing efforts to empower youth in Africa’s agrifood systems, fostering innovation and digital transformation across the continent.
