However, employers are concerned about the surge in AI-generated applications, with LinkedIn seeing a 45% increase in applications over the past year.
A survey by TopResume.com revealed critical insights: 20% of hiring managers view heavy AI reliance as a red flag, and over a third can identify AI-generated applications in under 20 seconds. Notably, 19.6% would outright reject candidates using AI for resumes or cover letters, while 57% believe AI should never be used in interviews.
While AI can enhance job searches, hiring managers maintain reservations, with 14.5% rejecting any AI use in the hiring process. As AI continues to alter job applications, it’s clear that a human touch remains indispensable in demonstrating skills and experience.
