English Premier League integrates Microsoft AI into fan app

The English Premier League (EPL) has entered a five-year partnership with Microsoft to enhance fan engagement through artificial intelligence. By integrating Microsoft’s Copilot AI into the EPL app, fans will gain access to over 300,000 articles, 9,000 videos, and extensive statistics reflecting the league’s history since 1992. Future updates will include translation features for text and audio, and improvements to the digital Fantasy Premier League. EPL CEO Richard Masters emphasized the game-changing potential of this collaboration for personalized content and match insights. With a reach of 900 million households across 189 countries, the EPL is recognized as the world’s most prestigious soccer organization. Microsoft will also serve as the league’s cloud computing partner, replacing Oracle. The upcoming season kicks off on August 15, with the Premier League Summer Series featuring exhibition matches in the U.S. from July 26 to August 3, hosting teams like Manchester United and West Ham United.
