Google has introduced a new feature, Google Chat Refine, powered by Gemini AI, designed to enhance workplace communication. This innovative tool allows users to polish their messages before sending, ensuring clarity and professionalism. Simply type your message and click the Refine button to correct grammar, fix typos, and adjust tone. This feature is particularly beneficial for non-native English speakers and for communicating with superiors. Accessing Refine is easy—just click the formatting button in the message box or select highlighted text from the context menu. Following the rollout of similar AI enhancements in Google Workspace throughout 2024, the Refine feature builds on Gmail’s “Help me write” functionality. Currently available for Google Workspace users with Gemini access, it started rolling out on September 23rd, with full availability by October 7th. This tool aims to revolutionize team communication by reducing hesitation and ensuring messages convey the intended meaning effectively.
