Three former Oliver Wyman executives have launched Zymbly, an innovative startup addressing the global shortage of aircraft maintenance technicians. This cutting-edge AI assistant simplifies documentation and administrative tasks, allowing technicians to focus more on aircraft maintenance. Built around voice activation, Zymbly seamlessly integrates with an operator’s or MRO’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, querying crucial aircraft records, manuals, and catalogs. It guides technicians through workflows while ensuring they retain ownership of their actions, thus incorporating “natural friction” into the process. Zymbly’s deployment requires minimal operational changes and protects customer data through encryption and access controls. By reducing time spent on documentation, Zymbly aims to enhance job satisfaction and efficiency within the traditionally slow-moving MRO industry. The founding team consists of industry experts with significant backgrounds in aviation and AI, including Robbie Bourke, Ben Jacob, and Azmat Habibullah, leveraging their experience to drive operational transformations in aviation.
