The product currently supports SSE transport and header authentication, with plans for streaming HTTP and OAuth capabilities. Notably, it allows customizable tool approvals, enabling fine-grained control over when tools are activated, enhancing the user experience with natural voice interactions. Meanwhile, VScode has rapidly adopted the new MCP specification, releasing elicitation support ahead of other servers. Additionally, Remote MCP has launched its own server, facilitating easy browsing of Remote MCP servers and showcasing the simplicity of building and deploying production-grade servers. An open-source codebase will be released soon, along with a detailed guide. Claude Pro users can view a demo video highlighting the ease of installing Remote MCP servers, and both VScode and Anthropic are compiling lists of available MCP servers for user convenience.
