Google has enhanced its Gemini AI chatbot, responding to user demand by enabling audio file uploads in the app on Android, iOS, and the web. This feature allows users to upload up to 10 audio files, each up to 10 minutes, for transcription and summarization directly from the Gemini app. As reported by Google VP Josh Woodward, this addition was the “#1 request” from users, making Gemini a stronger contender against Google Assistant. The app will also undergo a redesign, introducing a floating card-like interface for improved user interaction. While the audio upload feature is still rolling out, users can check its availability by attempting to upload an audio file. Overall, these updates aim to enhance personalization and functionality, positioning Gemini as a versatile tool in managing audio content.
