Exclusive: How Hong Kong Companies Are Navigating AI in the Search for the ‘Perfect’ Job Candidate

0

The rise of artificial intelligence (AI) tools has led to an influx of seemingly “perfect” job applicants, prompting companies in Hong Kong to prioritize in-person interviews, according to Faye Walshe, global director of innovation and AI at Robert Walters. Many employers are scrutinizing applications more closely to determine if candidates have relied on AI to enhance their profiles. Walshe noted that firms are increasingly opting for face-to-face interactions to establish genuine connections with candidates. A recent salary survey from Robert Walters indicated that two-thirds of professionals in Hong Kong are already using AI in their work, particularly in fields like copywriting and research. Various AI tools, including those from LinkedIn, assist recruiters in crafting job advertisements and outreach messages. This shift highlights a growing demand for more personalized hiring processes in the age of AI-driven applications.
