Eurostat data from 2025 reveals that just 15% of individuals aged 16-74 utilize AI for work, varying significantly across Europe. Norway leads with 35.4%, while Hungary trails at 1.3%. High adoption rates are noted in Malta (29.6%) and Denmark (27.2%). In contrast, countries like Romania and Turkey see under 10% use. Factors influencing AI adoption include digital skills, workplace culture, and organizational support. A notable gap exists between general AI use (32.7%) and workplace application (15.1%), with countries like Switzerland demonstrating high workplace integration. As generative AI adoption rises—68% forecasted growth by 2025—economic structure and sector composition also affect implementation.
