The Penn State Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) Dreamery Speaker Series will feature Jordan Mroziak from Colorado State University on April 13 and 14. As the lead designer of AI Learning at CodeJoy, Mroziak will deliver sessions during TLT AI Fest focused on cultivating AI literacy through human-centered teaching practices. His presentations include “Designing Courses Around Human Skills That Matter More in an AI World,” emphasizing essential skills like empathy and creativity in course design, and “Designing Learning That AI Can’t Do for Students,” which explores creating engaging experiences that require human interpretation. The series will conclude with “From Tool Use to Tool Critique,” urging students to analyze AI systems critically. With a strong emphasis on equity in AI education, Mroziak’s innovative approach aligns technology with social responsibility. In-person attendance is encouraged, alongside a virtual option for remote participants. Visit the Dreamery Speaker Series webpage to register.
