Factchequeado is inviting applications from 12 media outlets and partner organizations serving Latino communities in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. This initiative aims to enhance production capabilities and funding access through the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI). Many Latino-serving newsrooms face funding challenges and small team sizes while crucially providing vital information. The “Embracing AI for Good in Latino Communities” project, supported by the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation, addresses the digital divide impacting these communities. Selected organizations will receive six months of training and tools to implement AI in their workflows, including support from Chequeado’s expert technology. Participants will benefit from grant acquisition assistants and $3,000 in funding. Commitment involves attending workshops, developing AI policies, and producing AI-assisted content. Applications open on December 23, 2025, and close January 12, 2026. Full details are available at Factchequeado.com.
