Firefly AI, a cloud infrastructure-as-code startup, has launched its Cloud Resilience Posture Management (CRPM) offering to enhance cyberattack recovery for enterprises. With recent major outages from AWS and Microsoft Azure disrupting critical services like ChatGPT and Disney+, Firefly AI’s solution addresses a key challenge: quick recovery of infrastructure alongside data. Unlike typical backups, which may only restore data, Firefly’s CRPM employs a “disaster recovery agent” that captures and reproduces entire application environments, enabling rapid redeployment in unaffected regions. This automated process promises to restore applications in minutes, substantially minimizing downtime. During a recent AWS outage, one financial services client recovered its core apps within just 17 minutes, compared to hours for other companies. Firefly aims to redefine cloud resilience, equipping businesses to mitigate the financial and operational impact of outages—making it clear that readiness for disruption is essential in today’s digital landscape.
