Google is expanding its Fitbit Coach, a Gemini-powered health assistant, to iOS users and five new countries: the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. Initially available only to Android users in the US since October, the service is now in public preview for Fitbit Premium subscribers. Designed to enhance personal health engagement, Fitbit Coach analyzes users’ physiological data through an onboarding chat that identifies fitness goals and current physical conditions. This AI tool constructs adaptable training plans and suggests workouts based on users’ historical data and real-time health metrics. The recent redesign of the Fitbit app introduces four main tabs—Today, Fitness, Sleep, and Health—along with an ‘Ask Coach’ feature for intuitive, natural-language queries. Users with an active Premium subscription and modern Fitbit or Pixel Watch can join the preview.
