Some Florida homebuyers using AI to get homes without agents, saving thousands

Homebuyers in Florida are increasingly using AI platforms like Homa to purchase properties without agents, cutting out commissions of up to 3%. Homa’s AI-powered system streamlines the process, handling everything from property searches to contract creation. Already, over 10 homes have been successfully closed using this platform, with several more in escrow. This trend follows a landmark settlement by the National Association of Realtors, which has brought buyer-agent commissions into question, prompting many to seek alternatives. Users like DJ saved $10,500 on a $420,000 home, while Vicki Lynn saved $8,000 on her $313,000 purchase. According to Homa co-founder Arman Javaherian, the platform empowers buyers by providing control and transparency, without the typical delays associated with agents. However, some real estate professionals warn that AI can’t replace human judgment and local insights. Despite this, the trend toward self-representation is growing, reshaping Florida’s real estate landscape.
