Anthropic’s use of copyrighted material, including pirated books from “shadow libraries,” has sparked numerous legal battles regarding AI training practices. Despite the ruling in favor of Anthropic that allows AI training on copyrighted content under fair use, this settlement offers little more than a financial slap on the wrist.
