The recent launch of Gemini 3 has generated significant buzz, as it’s claimed to be Google’s “most powerful agentic and vibe coding model.” Vibe coding enables users to create apps using natural language prompts without coding experience. I tested Gemini 3 Pro in Google AI Studio and was pleasantly surprised by its efficiency. Within minutes, I successfully developed two web apps tailored to my needs as a vinyl collector. One app scanned records to link to Discogs, while the other randomized entries from my collection and even included an AI-generated vibe summary. The convenience offered by Gemini Canvas for quick prototypes is impressive; however, deploying apps externally requires additional costs via Google Cloud, which could deter some users. Overall, my vibe coding experience with Gemini 3 was a success, showcasing its potential to empower anyone in app development through simple text prompts.
