The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Government Degree College Kulgam hosted a workshop titled “AI and 14.0 Tools for Innovators and Entrepreneurs” as part of its IIC 8.0 Calendar for the 2025–2026 academic year. The event, attended by over 150 students and faculty, began with a welcome by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Mohd Abass Shah, who highlighted the growing significance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education. He stressed the importance of responsible AI adoption, ensuring human oversight remains central. Keynote speaker Mr. Ummar Sheriff, CEO of Ayesha Ali Academy, explored the evolving role of AI in education and the necessity of human agency amidst technological advances. Dr. Gowhar Hamid Dar, the IIC Coordinator, emphasized that while AI can enhance lives, genuine understanding springs from human curiosity. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Aijaz Ahmad Wachkoo, marking a successful collaboration focused on AI innovation and education enhancement.
