Gemini for Home is expanding beyond North America, now supporting 16 new countries and seven languages. This rollout, announced by Google, enhances its voice assistant’s global accessibility, which previously limited the feature to just the U.S. and Canada. New regions include several European countries—Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the U.K.—as well as Australia, Japan, and New Zealand in the Asia-Pacific. Users can expect improved performance with up to 40% faster smart home response times and enhanced context awareness for better device management. The assistant can now distinguish between devices and provide relevant local news. Users will have the option to join an early access program via the Google Home app. Despite its significant expansion, some key markets like India are still not included, making the rollout feel incomplete. Advanced features like world-aware alarms and improved live camera search are also being introduced.
