Google is testing a new feature in Gemini called Projects, aimed at enhancing chat organization. Users often struggle to find old conversations among numerous chats, which can feel overwhelming. The Projects feature allows users to create dedicated folders for chats, similar to ChatGPT’s existing folder system. Initially spotted by a Reddit user, the feature presents an “Add to project” option within a menu that appears when hovering over any chat in the Gemini interface. This menu also includes familiar options like Share Conversation and Pin. However, users cannot create a new project directly from the pop-up, indicating that the feature is still under development. Although Google hasn’t announced an official rollout timeline, its early appearance for select users suggests a broader launch may be imminent. Once fully implemented, Projects will significantly improve Gemini’s functionality for managing multiple tasks and conversations effectively.
