Google’s recent video-generating model, Veo 3, launched in May, allows users to create 8-second videos with sound. This weekend, free users of the Gemini app can generate three Veo 3 videos, which are faster to produce and maintain a 720p resolution. Google AI Pro subscribers, available globally since July, can create three Fast generations daily, while AI Ultra customers enjoy broader access and photo-to-video capabilities. Gemini’s chief, Josh Woodward, indicated extensive preparations for the trial, highlighting the model’s efficiency. To start generating videos, users can access the “Video: Generate with Veo” option in the Gemini app by tapping the three-dot menu. Users can craft prompts detailing scenes, styles, and sounds, taking a few minutes to process. Once generated, videos can be downloaded with a watermark or shared via a link.
