Google has introduced new photo-to-video generation capabilities in its Gemini app, powered by Veo 3. Launching on July 10, this feature allows users with a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription to upload a photo and provide detailed text descriptions for video creation, complete with unique sound options. Users simply select “Video” in the prompt box, add their narrative, and submit. The generated clips will be approximately eight seconds long, taking a minute or two to process. Subscribers should note limitations on the number of videos they can create. This similar functionality was earlier seen in Honor’s 400 series via Veo 2. The Gemini platform emphasizes user safety, ensuring an appropriate experience with its AI tools. Users can download and share their animated creations, and similar capabilities are expected to roll out in the Flow app as well.
