Nobl.ai, a spin-off from Ghent University, has been recognized among the top 100 artificial intelligence applications by the International Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence (IRCAI), highlighting its alignment with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Founded by AI professor Tijl De Bie and computer scientists Alexandru Cristian Mara and Bo Kang, Nobl.ai is dedicated to enhancing the labor market through AI-driven tools. Their software automates job matching, extracts structured data from job listings and CVs, and provides career guidance, currently benefiting over a million job seekers. Nobl.ai is noted for its “promising” contribution to five specific SDGs, particularly those addressing poverty and gender inequality. The company emphasizes reliability and accountability in its technology, actively incorporating strategies to detect and mitigate bias, thereby ensuring equal opportunities for all users. Nobl.ai officially became independent from Ghent University in February 2024.
