Google has introduced a new AI-powered feature in Gmail called “Help me schedule,” designed to simplify event coordination. Traditional communication methods like calls, texts, and emails can be cumbersome, especially when scheduling meetings. This feature aims to streamline the process by allowing users to set up calendar events directly within their email interface. By utilizing Google’s Gemini AI, the tool analyzes emails and accesses Google Calendar data to suggest suitable time slots for meetings. Users can easily interact with the “Help me schedule” button that appears when a recipient expresses availability, offering several matching time options. However, it currently does not support group emails, making it more suited for one-on-one scheduling. For it to function, users need to grant Gemini access to their Gmail and Calendar accounts.
