These features aim to make AI Mode the primary interaction point with Google Search, following earlier announcements from the I/O conference this spring. AI Mode, which became available to all users in May, now incorporates Deep Think alongside these new tools. Another notable addition is the Project Astra capability, allowing AI to make phone calls to local businesses to inquire about availability and pricing. Users querying businesses may see a “Have AI check prices” option, initiating a call with the AI. While this feature is accessible to all users, subscribers to Google AI Pro and AI Ultra will enjoy higher calling allowances. These updates emphasize Google’s commitment to integrating advanced AI into its core search functionalities, enhancing user experience and engagement.
