Google has introduced significant updates to its Gemini AI features for Android users, focusing on enhancing user convenience. Currently in beta, the Gemini AI allows users to book rides or order food through voice commands, minimizing the need to switch between various apps. This feature is initially available for select apps in the food, grocery, and rideshare categories, supporting devices like the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy S26 series, with availability in the U.S. and South Korea. To ensure user safety, Google has implemented built-in safeguards, requiring explicit commands for actions and allowing users to monitor and interrupt ongoing tasks. Additionally, the update expands Scam Detection capabilities for calls and texts. Another enhancement, Circle to Search, now enables users to identify multiple objects in images, improving search functionality. These developments position Google as a frontrunner in the AI landscape, particularly against competitors like Apple.
