Google has expanded its Gemini-powered AI capabilities across Workspace applications like Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive, enhancing productivity. The new “Help me create” feature in Docs enables users to outline document ideas, with Gemini pulling information from Gmail, Chat, and Drive to craft a structured draft. In Sheets, Gemini can produce fully formatted spreadsheets, summarize data, and retrieve real-time web information. For Slides, users can create editable presentations using prompts and contextual data from their files. Additionally, Drive now offers AI-generated summaries that highlight key insights from stored documents. Users will also have more control over AI functionalities in Google Photos, with a new toggle allowing them to switch between the AI-powered Ask Photos search and the traditional search method. This update aims to address user feedback regarding search speed and accuracy, reflecting Google’s commitment to enhancing user experience with AI-driven tools.
