Google has launched Gemini Deep Research, integrating Workspace services for advanced analytical reporting using users’ personal data. This feature enables the AI assistant to analyze emails, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and chats to generate structured, multi-step reports.
The Deep Research process begins with a query plan, followed by search actions that compile data into a report. Users can refine queries, export results to Google Docs, and even produce podcasts. This innovation allows for detailed market analysis, utilizing internal emails and documents alongside external data.
Gemini offers a user-friendly interface where data sources like Google Search, Gmail, Drive, and Chat can be accessed with user consent, ensuring data privacy as it is not used for model training. Currently available only on the desktop version, mobile support will be introduced soon. Initially, the feature is exclusive to Workspace and Gemini Advanced users, with broader access planned for the future.
