Google Drive users can now take advantage of the Gemini integration on mobile devices for easier file management. Previously, finding information required extensive scrolling and manual work. The rollout, starting September 22, enhances functionality for paid plans, including Business Standard and Google One AI Premium, but excludes free accounts. Gemini enables users to summarize individual files, provide overviews of folders, and extract critical information across multiple documents. It also efficiently processes images, enhancing file search capabilities. The newly introduced ‘Ask Gemini’ button allows users to interact seamlessly, making it easy to track project progress without needing to sift through multiple files. This update aligns with Google’s initiative to incorporate AI tools across its Workspace apps, including Gmail and Docs, streamlining productivity for both personal and professional use. Gemini’s functionality in Drive significantly improves access to vital information, adding substantial value for users managing diverse data types, from project documentation to receipts.
