At the beginning of the year, Google introduced new Gemini-powered features in Chrome, enhancing the user experience with built-in Nano Banana image generation. Initially launched in the U.S., these features are now expanding to users in Canada, India, and New Zealand, with plans for support in 50 additional languages, including French, Gujarati, Hindi, and Spanish. To utilize Gemini in Chrome, simply click the sparkle icon in the top right corner, revealing the sidebar where you can interact with the Gemini chatbot and access Google’s image generator, all without switching tabs. This integration also connects with Gmail, Maps, Calendar, YouTube, and other Google services. For users outside Canada, India, or New Zealand, Google aims to roll out Gemini in Chrome to more countries and languages throughout 2026. If preferred, users can unpin the sparkle icon by right-clicking to hide it. Enhance your browsing with these exciting new features!
