AI Mode in Google Search gains five new languages

Google’s AI Mode in Search has significantly evolved since its official launch earlier this year, now supporting six languages, including Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese, in addition to English. This expansion demonstrates Google’s commitment to integrating AI into its search capabilities, catering to millions of users globally. However, several key languages remain unsupported, and updates are anticipated soon to address this gap.

There’s speculation about AI Mode potentially becoming the default search experience. Google VP Robby Stein clarified that while making AI Mode easily accessible is the goal, there are currently no plans to replace traditional Google Search. The recent update to AI Mode’s URL reflects improved accessibility but maintains both AI Mode and the classic search experience for users. This coexistence allows users to choose their preferred search method while highlighting Google’s focus on enhancing search with AI technology.
