With these updates, Google aims to transform AI into a personal shopping assistant. The AI Mode enables virtual try-ons using photos and notifies shoppers of price drops, leveraging a database of over 50 billion product listings regularly updated. As competition heats up, other companies like OpenAI and Walmart are also integrating AI into shopping, reflecting a growing trend towards a more conversational shopping experience. A Bloomreach survey indicates that two-thirds of consumers have utilized AI for online shopping, highlighting its increasing relevance.
