Google’s latest innovation, “Personal Intelligence,” enhances Gemini AI, transforming it from a general assistant into a hyper-personalized digital companion. This upgrade, powered by the Gemini 3 model, enables the assistant to seamlessly access and process data across a user’s entire Google ecosystem—covering Gmail, Photos, YouTube, and Search history.
Unlike previous AI iterations, which lacked user-specific insights, Personal Intelligence synthesizes information from various sources to tackle complex tasks efficiently. For example, it can pull a vehicle’s tire specifications by analyzing emails and photos. Key features include cross-app reasoning, visual contextualization, tailored recommendations, and a robust privacy framework, ensuring users opt-in to data sharing with strict controls.
This release positions Google strongly against competitors like Apple, potentially solidifying its lead in the mobile AI space. The beta version is now available for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the U.S., with plans for broader access and integration with Search.
