Google Search has launched Canvas, an AI-powered project planning tool available across the US. Accessible through the AI Mode on Google’s search results, Canvas is designed for a variety of uses, most notably trip planning. It enables users to conveniently gather and organize real-time information on flights, hotels, and more, integrating details from Google Maps and various web sources. The tool is compatible with both desktop and mobile devices, although smartphone users may find navigating between screens a bit cumbersome. In addition to travel planning, Canvas can also serve as an academic scholarship tracker, helping users track deadlines and amounts. With features that allow for customization, users can refine projects using chat prompts and adjust the interface, including a dark mode option. Google aims to enhance Canvas further by supporting coding and creative writing tasks, although expansion into other languages and countries is still pending.
