Google’s latest update for Gemini for Home enhances user experience with concise responses and improved speed. Instead of lengthy explanations, commands like “Alarm set for 9 AM” are direct and to the point. Google claims that common commands, such as turning lights on and off, are now up to 40% faster. New features allow users to set timers based on real-world events, manage multiple commands simultaneously, and check both remaining time and original durations for alarms.
The updated assistant now better understands context and local information, offering more relevant responses, including regional weather. The translation mode has been revamped for quicker and smoother bilingual interactions, supporting 30 languages. Automation tools in the Google Home app enable action triggers based on specific conditions, simplifying control over smart home devices. Early access for these features is expanding to 14 countries, providing a richer global experience. Keep in mind that certain functionalities may require a Google Home Premium subscription.
