Grammarly has launched nine innovative AI agents tailored for writing and grading, targeting both students and educators. These new tools are available within Grammarly’s “AI-native writing surface,” called docs, at no extra cost for both Free and Pro users. The agents tackle challenges such as plagiarism detection, predicting reader reactions, citation support, and providing assignment feedback, including personalized grading estimates through the AI grader. Head of Grammarly for Education, Jenny Maxwell, emphasizes the importance of AI that enhances student capabilities while fostering real skills. Additional features include a proofreader for clarity enhancements, a paraphrase agent for tone adjustments, and a citation finder for properly formatted references. Educators will benefit from a plagiarism checker and an AI detector assessing the likelihood of text being human-written.
