Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has sanctioned the Action Plan for Artificial Intelligence (AI) Implementation in Gujarat for 2025–2030, aimed at revolutionizing governance. This initiative will enhance service delivery and administrative efficiency while integrating AI into healthcare, education, agriculture, and finance sectors. Marrying local efforts with the national vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, the plan was crafted by the Department of Science and Technology based on a 10-member AI Taskforce’s recommendations.
Key focal points include establishing a secure data ecosystem, bolstering GPU and cloud infrastructure, training 250,000 individuals in AI and machine learning, and fostering academic-industry partnerships. The plan will also support DeepTech startups through mentorship and funding, ensuring responsible AI practices via an audit system. Implementation will unfold in phases, beginning with a State AI data repository and pilot projects. A dedicated AI and Deep Tech Mission will oversee project design, planning, and collaboration among stakeholders, positioning Gujarat as a leader in AI development.
