Hack The Box (HTB) has launched HTB AI Range, the first dedicated AI cyber range aimed at testing AI-driven security agents in realistic environments. This innovative platform allows organizations to evaluate the performance of autonomous AI alongside human operators in high-pressure cybersecurity scenarios. As AI’s integration into enterprise systems expands the attack surface, HTB AI Range prepares defenders by facilitating live-fire testing and iterative refinement of AI systems and human defenses.
Previously, HTB hosted an AI vs Human CTF, revealing that while AI excelled in simpler tasks, it struggled with complex challenges, highlighting the continued importance of human expertise in cybersecurity. HTB also announced the upcoming AI Red Teamer Certification, set for Q1 2026, designed to address gaps in AI security skills. This initiative, in partnership with Google, aims to establish new benchmarks in AI security expertise, enhancing the industry’s readiness against evolving cyber threats.
