Harmonic, co-founded by Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev, recently launched the beta version of its AI chatbot app, Aristotle, for iOS and Android. This innovative app aims to deliver “hallucination-free” responses to complex mathematical queries, addressing the reliability issues prevalent in contemporary AI models. Harmonic’s focus on “mathematical superintelligence” (MSI) seeks to assist users across various fields, such as physics and statistics, emphasizing the importance of precise reasoning. CEO Tudor Achim highlighted that Aristotle verifies its outputs through formal algorithms rather than AI, enhancing reliability—a crucial attribute in high-stakes industries like healthcare and aviation. Following a successful $100 million Series B funding round, Harmonic envisions releasing an API for enterprises and a web app for broader consumer access. Competitors like Google and OpenAI have also made strides in AI for math, but Harmonic claims to set new standards with Aristotle’s rigorous validation process.
