In a comparison of three popular mobile AI image tools—Gemini, OpenAI’s ChatGPT for iPhone, and Meta AI—I evaluated their performance regarding common image generation tasks. Each AI was tested on object removal, background expansion, brochure cover creation, and generating surreal images.
Gemini generally outperformed others: it effectively removed objects and expanded backgrounds creatively, while ChatGPT shone in brochure cover generation. However, Meta AI excelled in generating a lifelike image of David Bowie exploring a cave.
The analysis revealed Gemini as the overall winner, particularly for its speed and understanding of prompts. With Gemini’s free access contrasting against ChatGPT’s $19.99/month fee, users looking for a reliable and efficient image generator may gravitate toward Gemini for their creative needs.
