ChatGPT recently introduced its Agent functionality, enabling users to delegate tasks like vacation planning and restaurant bookings. Curious about its capabilities, I tested whether it could order food, specifically pizza. After initiating a simple command, ChatGPT scanned for nearby pizza places, initially selecting from random options before settling on Domino’s. The process faced hiccups, such as the bot struggling with basket retrieval and website navigation.
In a more complex task, I asked it to identify a specific restaurant known for its pizza. This challenge exposed ChatGPT to obstacles like pop-ups and poorly designed websites, leading to lengthy search cycles on various delivery services. Despite the delays and frustration, it eventually succeeded in placing an order. While the AI’s performance was commendable, it highlighted the technology’s current limitations, suggesting that while AI can assist with tasks, there is still room for improvement in efficiency and adaptability.
