Google has rolled out its advanced AI assistant, Gemini in Chrome, for eligible Google Workspace users, enhancing productivity for business and education sectors on Mac, Windows, and iOS. This AI seamlessly integrates with the browser, utilizing up to 10 open tabs and Google Workspace applications to perform complex tasks, such as summarizing information, answering in-depth questions, and facilitating two-way conversations through the Gemini Live feature.
Workspace users benefit from enterprise-grade data protection, ensuring that content remains secure and is not reviewed without consent. Administrators have granular control over enabling or disabling the feature by domain or group. Currently, Gemini in Chrome is available only in the U.S. and in English for users aged 18 and older, with some limitations for specific clients under HIPAA agreements.
This exciting enhancement is set to roll out gradually to all eligible users, marking a significant advancement in AI-powered productivity tools.
